Job Description

Responsibilities

Defining and communicating the product line strategy and product roadmap, including defining requirements and business cases for new products
Forecasting product line volumes, revenue and margins, with sales and operations input
Developing an understanding of market segmentation, application and customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to support strategies to target new opportunities and threats
Managing the product lifecycle including leading decisions for product changes, new models, resource priorities and eventual model obsolescence
Creating and conveying messaging and content for marketing materials including advertisements, datasheets, tradeshows, website, PR, product memos, newsletters and collateral
Supporting sales to win new business and orders which will include presenting at conferences and assisting with tradeshows
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% of Travel is required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or Science
5+ years of product marketing or product management experience with technical products (imaging, lasers, photonics or optics)
Strategic thinker / planner while adept at tactical decisions and requirements of the role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player and works well in complex cross-functional global situations
