Job Advert - Senior Institutional Fundraising Manager
We are seeking a Senior Institutional Fundraising Manager to join our supportive and collaborative Development and Corporate Partnerships team. Reporting to the Head of Institutional Fundraising, you will play a key role in securing and stewarding significant income from public, statutory and other institutional grant funders. Working as part of a small, specialist team, you will manage and grow a personal portfolio of funders and prospects, generating vital income to support the RHS’ charitable work.
This is a pivotal moment to join the Institutional Fundraising team, building on the success of several significant recent grants. The breadth of the RHS’ charitable work offers outstanding opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, from Learning and Public Engagement to Science and Collections. Alongside this, our programme of high-profile events, including the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, provides unique and inspiring opportunities to engage funders and prospects with our work.
We welcome applicants with experience securing five and six figure grants from public, statutory or other institutional funders, including trusts and foundations, across a range of revenue and capital projects, such as work with schools and young people, scientific research, and environmental or sustainability initiatives.
To work for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is to join a thriving charity, whose mission is to be there for everyone on their lifelong adventure with gardening. Everything we do is built on the transformational power of gardening – and the benefits it brings to people, places and our planet.
And we couldn’t do this without our people. We’re proud of the knowledge, enthusiasm and ideas that each one of our team members brings. From working across our social media channels, to volunteering in the RHS Gardens, from serving customers in our garden centres to running national marketing campaigns, we believe that every member of the RHS team should have the opportunity to make a difference.
The RHS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expects all personnel to share in this commitment. We are an inclusive employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
