Job Summary

The Communications Manager will own the content strategy and execution across proposals, newsletters, and external communications, lead digital and social storytelling for the studio, and coordinate PR support and internal events in partnership with leadership. The role requires strong writing, editorial excellence, and the ability to balance collaborative and independent work across marketing assets and design-focused communications.

Own content development for proposals, newsletters, and award submissions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Content & Writing: Draft, edit, and refine proposals, newsletters, project narratives, award submissions, website copy, and research content
Digital & Social Media: Manage and create content for social media channels and the studio website, ensuring high-quality, consistent messaging.
Media & Asset Management: Maintain marketing and portfolio files. Collaborate with photographers and videographers for portfolio, thought leadership, and marketing content.
Public Relations & Events: Support our external PR consultant, assist senior leadership with speaking engagements, and coordinate internal event communications

Requirements

6+ years of related experience
Strong interest and conceptual fluency in design, equity, and sustainability
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premiere, Illustrator)
Exceptional writing and editing capabilities
Strong organizational and time-management, with high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and media contacts
Ability to balance team collaboration with independent task management
