The New York Jets are a professional football team headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, representing the New York metropolitan area. It is a privately owned business with under 200 employees. Founded more than 50 years ago, the Jets franchise has defined itself as a trailblazer, trendsetter and leader in the region’s sports landscape and across the NFL. Since Chairman and CEO Woody Johnson purchased the team in 2000, the team has undergone a major revitalization and rebranding, focused on winning both on and off the field. For Johnson, capturing the franchise’s second championship is priority #1. Under his ownership, the team has posted seven winning seasons, appeared in seven postseason games, including two AFC Championship Game appearances, and winning an AFC East division title in 2002.
