Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility dedicated to powering the communities we serve in northwest North Dakota. Serving the counties of Mountrail and Williams Counties, MWEC plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable, and affordable power to our members.Today, MWEC owns and operates more than 5000 miles of distribution line, approximately 460 miles of transmission line; and manages more than 80 substations across our service area.As a cooperative, we understand our responsibility goes beyond delivering electricity. Cooperatives were created to serve – putting members first and supporting the communities they call home. We also believe that our MWEC employees are our greatest asset. We are proud that MWEC continues to be a place where people want to work, learn and grow.
