As a regional commission established under the Georgia Planning Act, our primary mission is to assist local governments on a regional basis.Our mandate encompasses a range of state-required planning activities, including comprehensive planning, Developments of Regional Impact (DRIs), Service Delivery Strategies, and more. The CRC operates the Coastal Regional Coaches, a regional transit system that serves seamlessly across all 10 counties. By providing reliable transit services, we enhance mobility and guarantee access to essential resources for our communities. Moreover, as the designated Coastal Area Agency on Aging (AAA), we are deeply committed to supporting older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers through a comprehensive suite of services aimed at promoting independence and well-being.Driven by our clear mission to promote economic growth, environmental responsibility, and social well-being, we execute strategic planning initiatives, deliver robust services, and forge collaborative partnerships.
