Job Description
Responsibilities
- Own the central editorial quality control for externally focused AgriLife newsletters.
- Edit newsletters for clarity, accessibility, brand voice, and digital best practices.
- Ensure newsletters follow standards for subject lines, content hierarchy, CTAs, and accessibility.
- Partner with content creators to improve effectiveness through editorial feedback.
- Create and manage newsletters including drafting, editing, scheduling, and coordination.
- Maintain mailing list accuracy and segmentation with team support.
- Help evolve newsletter strategy to improve performance and audience engagement.
- Manage newsletter calendars, scheduling, workflows, and cross-calendar coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience.
- Strong editing and writing skills, with ability to improve clarity and flow.
- Experience producing or editing newsletters, email campaigns or digital publications.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and email marketing tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Nice To Have
- Experience working in a marketing communications team, or higher education communications environment.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation, email performance metrics and content optimization.
- Experience adapting content for multiple digital channels.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and digital content best practices.
- Editorial judgment and attention to detail.
