Responsibilities

Oversee a daily social media stream across Facebook, Instagram, and other identified platforms
Minimum of 5 posts per week, including photo, video, and mixed-media content
Create original photographic and video content for all online platforms
Develop and execute communications strategies to attract new audiences and retain existing customers
Manage and regularly update the Salt City Market website
Assess current website and consider making major edits or doing a full redesign
Manage the Salt City Market’s Google Business account and online presence
Write and edit press releases, e-blasts, and other public-facing materials as needed
Create and distribute a monthly e-blast
Design tenant signage, menus, and marketing collateral as needed/requested

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in communications design, graphic design, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong ability to prioritize among multiple, competing projects
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong commitment to meeting deadlines
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign required) and Canva
Fluency in major social media platforms
Demonstrated ability to manage and update websites (Squarespace or WordPress preferred)
Familiarity with the needs, interests, challenges, and communication barriers experienced by diverse communities in Syracuse
Must possess smartphone and basic computer skills
