Job Description

Responsibilities

Write and edit clear, compelling, on-brand copy across Charis’ marketing channels, adapting voice and tone to fit the audience and platform.
Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice so all content reflects the Charis brand and mission.
Research topics, audiences, and program offerings to produce accurate, relevant, and engaging content.
Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to translate strategic and enrollment objectives into effective copy.
Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, spelling, tone, and adherence to brand standards.
Write, build, and execute Charis’ email marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with enrollment initiatives and strategic objectives.
Maintain and update a coordinated email calendar.
Build one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic campaigns using CRM and marketing automation tools.
Maintain email lists and segment audiences according to campaign goals.
Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, send times, content formats, and CTAs to optimize performance.

Requirements

Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Must sign the Statement of Faith.
A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
Must operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
A Charis Bible College graduate preferred.
Must submit writing samples or portfolio with application.
Must be trustworthy to uphold the ministry vision and execute plans as directed.
Must pass all required checks.
Proven experience in creating content for digital, social media, and other channels.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
A Charis Bible College graduate preferred.
Experience with graphic design and social media management is preferred.
Strong proficiency in content management and customer relationship management systems, design and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, DaVinci Resolve), as well as SEO, preferred.
