Job Description
Responsibilities
- Own Paid Advertising Strategy & Performance
- Lead paid advertising strategy across platforms including Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Meta, YouTube, and Spotify
- Build campaigns from scratch, take over and optimize existing accounts, and audit/fix inherited issues
- Analyze performance data to identify insights, diagnose problems, and recommend strategic changes
- Forecast budgets and expected outcomes; manage pacing and efficiency
- Stay current on platform changes and emerging opportunities, including new advertising channels
- Lead Client Communication & Reporting
- Lead reporting conversations that go beyond numbers to explain why performance changed and what comes next
- Confidently answer client questions in real time, using data to support recommendations
- Communicate clearly and concisely—without rambling, deflecting, or hiding behind metrics
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on paid advertising experience, including significant agency experience
- Deep experience managing campaigns in Google Ads and Meta, plus familiarity with other platforms
- Experience overseeing large budgets (six- and seven-figure annual spend)
- Strong understanding of conversion tracking and how platforms connect to GA4 and GTM (you don’t need to build everything yourself, but you understand how it works)
- Proven experience leading client conversations and explaining performance under pressure
- Experience managing freelancers, vendors, or junior practitioners
- A strategic, analytical mindset paired with strong execution
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams
