Job Summary
Own the shop floor fabrication and assembly pipeline with hands on control over woodworking and foam tooling, ensuring safety, dimensional accuracy and quality through blueprint reading and tests.
- Fabrication and assembly workflow: operate woodworking and foam tooling, glue, clamp, sand, and prepare units for finishing.
- Quality control and measurement: verify dimensions, ensure parts present, troubleshoot malfunctions, and align assemblies.
- Safety and collaboration: enforce PPE and safety rules, participate in product development meetings to test and refine products.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of woodworking and foam sculpting machinery and tools to fabricate cabinetry, millwork, and foam sculptures.
- Glue, fit and clamp parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit using clamps or clamping machine.
- Sand and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare for finishing.
- Verify dimensions and product specifications to ensure accuracy and fit.
- Assemble and prep units for finishing with precision and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done with thinking “Safety First”.
- Ensure that all the required parts for assembly are present when constructing/finishing a project.
- Take part in product development meetings, which includes testing and troubleshooting products for functionality.
- Ensure that quality control standards are met, and all parts are properly fitted, and aligned.
- Report and detail product malfunctions.
