Job Summary
Own cross‑functional storytelling and external promotions for a global law firm, coordinating strategy and delivery across PR, marketing, and BD while safeguarding sensitive information.
- Project & Campaign Management: Lead high-velocity workflows with stakeholders, deadlines, and quality gates to keep campaigns on track.
- Storytelling & External Strategy: Translate firm priorities into promotable narratives and audience‑driven angles for external channels.
- Editorial & Platform Execution: Align narratives with polished copy and platform‑appropriate formats to drive visibility and full‑funnel integration.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Serving as the primary project manager coordinating stakeholders, timelines, approvals, and deliverables; building and running high-velocity workflows that protect quality standards while meeting fast-moving deadlines
- Partnering with PR, Marketing, and Business Development strategic leads to set campaign strategy, objectives, and target audiences aligned with firm priorities, and to translate those priorities into external promotional opportunities and story angles
- Collaborating with Editorial Services on narratives and copy that differentiate the firm in external-facing submissions and campaign assets; ensuring clarity, accuracy, and polish
- Collaborating with Digital Media to develop and deploy platform-appropriate formats (e.g., social media posts, video, paid/organic amplification) that maximize external visibility and ensure full-funnel channel integration
- Identifying stories and trends for promotion as well as positioning opportunities against market competitors
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Digital Media, PR/Communications, Marketing, or related field
- A master’s degree or equivalent, preferably
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in digital communications/social media, with familiarity of the legal industry, preferably
- A minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative professional experience
- Possess demonstrated expertise in external promotional strategy (awards, rankings, directories, and related third-party recognition) and in digital/social campaign execution within a professional services context
- Display excellent leadership skills, including organizing, planning, problem solving, and decision making necessary for effective management in a complex, global environment
- Exhibit well developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and to provide clear written and oral communications
