Job Description

Responsibilities

- Support the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase awareness and engagement with DPR programming and events.
- Create weekly creative content for social media platforms.
- Regularly travel to parks, park and recreation facilities, and event sites (multiple times per week) to capture original photo and video content, ensuring authentic representation of the department.
- Work flexible shifts, including creating, capturing, and publishing content at activities and events that take place in the evenings, at night, and on weekends.
- Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with community members, responding to inquiries, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders online.
- Work closely with the Communications Team to align social media efforts with overall messaging priorities.
- Monitor current events, trends and best practices in social media marketing and incorporate innovative ideas into the DPR social media strategy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attend and participate in department and community programs and events, capture and draft content for social media platforms and other communication channels.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience - Associate’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Consumer Products, Communications, or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of successful campaign execution.
Proficiency in videography and content creation.
Licensures and Certifications - *
Preferred Requirements:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in photography, videography, and graphic design tools including, but not limited to Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
Ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast-paced changing environment.
Solutions-oriented approach to communication.

Preferred

Drone license or experience, a plus.
