Job Description

Responsibilities

Website, search engine optimization, and answer engine optimization Content Development
Create, write, edit, and maintain content across Graduate Programs websites.
Develop a consistent pipeline of search engine optimization/answer engine optimization-focused blogs, FAQs, and evergreen content that addresses prospective-student questions.
Interview students, alumni, faculty, and staff to develop stories.
Maintain an editorial calendar for web content aligned with recruitment and enrollment priorities.
Conduct keyword, search intent, and topic research to identify content opportunities.
Apply search engine optimization/answer engine optimization best practices to web content, including page structure, metadata, internal linking, and FAQs.
Use website analytics and search data to evaluate content performance and inform future development.
Social Media
Manage the social media calendar and day-to-day publishing for Graduate Programs’ primary accounts.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in areas such as communications/journalism, marketing/public relations, digital content, and/or social media.
Demonstrated experience writing and editing content for digital audiences.
Experience managing social media content and editorial calendars.
Exceptional writing skills in a variety of media.
Experience with website content management systems and digital publishing.
Photography and videography skills.
Strong visual storytelling and design skills.
Demonstrated experience in social media and contemporary media platforms.
Experience creating visual content using graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar platforms.

Preferred

Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or similar discipline.
Experience developing content for higher education, healthcare, science, or other related subject areas.
Experience with SEO, AEO, keyword research, and/or search-focused content strategy.
Experience using web analytics and social media analytics to evaluate content performance.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices for digital content.
Understanding of higher education recruitment and the prospective-student journey.
Ability to interview sources and develop stories from conversations and research.
Familiarity with WordPress or another CMS, Google Analytics, and social media management platforms.
