Job Summary
Own and support the university's A&S communications by assisting social media, events storytelling, basic design, and email outreach, while gaining experience in marketing and communications.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the management of the A&S social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)
- Prospect stories and write news releases based on events and the achievements of A&S faculty, staff and students
- Assist in basic design projects to promote A&S initiatives (Posters, flyers, mailers, etc.)
- Gain experience in email marketing initiatives through crafting messages to A&S constituents
Requirements
- Current UW Student studying communications and journalism, marketing or related field
- Experience: 1 year internship/work experience in marketing and communications
Preferred
- Experience in basic design
- Experience writing in journalistic style for press releases
- Experience managing, planning and analyzing social media efforts
