Job Summary
Own transportation project delivery from planning through delivery by coordinating tasks, schedules, and sub consultants while actively engaging clients and promoting the firm’s services.
- Own project scope and milestones across planning, design, and delivery
- Lead client interactions and contribute to business development and marketing efforts
- Develop as a seller-doer through mentorship and cross-functional project leadership
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Project management

- Civil design
- Plan production oversight
- Preparing cost estimates
- Client interaction
- Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
- They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with transportation clients in Kansas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred).
- Practical working knowledge of the KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook and Roadside Design Guide as well as other KDOT Design manuals and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred
- Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on KDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects.
- 3D Design experience.
