Job Summary

Own media relations for a major energy player with a mandate to shape reputation, messaging, and public view.

Media Relations Strategy: Own plan development, briefing materials, and messaging that translate complex energy topics into accessible narratives.
Spokesperson & Events: Serve as the primary spokesperson, manage media inquiries, and coordinate press conferences and media tours.
Monitoring & Cross-Channel Alignment: Track coverage, report to leadership, and ensure consistent messaging across teams and channels.

Job Description

Develop and implement media plans that enhance the company’s reputation and contribute to business outcomes.
Interface often with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
Prepare briefing documents, press disclosures, media advisories, and other communications materials.
Coordinate and manage media events, including press conferences, interviews, and media tours.
Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports to senior management.
Respond to media inquiries and act as the company’s spokesperson when necessary.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels.
Stay up to date with energy industry trends and best practices in media relations.
