Support WOCOTM's social media presence as a Volunteer Social Media Manager, driving community empowerment through content and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and drafting social media content aligned with WOCOTM’s mission and campaigns
Create engaging posts for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter)
Schedule posts using approved social media tools
Monitor comments and messages and flag inquiries to staff as appropriate
Support promotion of events, programs, and fundraising initiatives
Track basic engagement metrics and share insights with the team
Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure consistent messaging

Requirements

Passion for social justice, nonprofit work, and community empowerment
Basic knowledge of major social media platforms
Strong written communication skills
Creativity and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
able to know Microsoft 365/ know how to used Ai
Time Commitment 5–10 hours per week (flexible)

Preferred

Previous social media or digital marketing experience is a plus, but not required
