Job Summary

Own and scale Point's direct mail prescreen program while leading performance analytics, data-science collaboration, and vendor management to drive scalable growth.

  • Own high-volume direct mail growth initiatives
  • Partner with data science to refine targeting and models
  • Coordinate multi-vendor operations and experiments

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct Mail Strategy & Execution: Own and scale Point's highest-volume marketing channel—the direct-to-consumer direct mail prescreen program. Explore and test opportunities such as Triggers, 3rd-party list buys, ITAs, and new data sources to scale volume efficiently.
  • Detailed Performance Analytics: Independently conduct deep, hands-on analysis of campaign performance to uncover insights, measure ROI, and recommend optimizations. Write your own SQL, do deep analysis to understand how different segments respond and convert, and pressure-test results. Analyze and optimize to improve KPIs such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), response and conversion rates, cost per funded customer. Own campaign forecasting and in-month pacing.
  • Partnership with Data Science: Work hand-in-glove with the Data Science team to develop, validate, and continuously refine prescreen criteria, audience scoring/response models, and value estimation. Translate business questions into modeling requirements, stress-test model outputs, and turn them into targeting decisions—acting as the connective tissue between analytics and channel execution.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with multiple print, data/list, and agency vendors end-to-end. Set clear SLAs and quality standards, coordinate timelines across partners, resolve issues quickly, and hold vendors accountable for accurate, timely, performance-oriented work.
  • Experimentation: Design and run well-controlled experiments on creative, targeting strategies, offer construction, and the mail decision itself—defining success metrics, sizing tests appropriately, and reading results rigorously to meet growth goals while managing risk.
  • Creative Development & Testing: Author creative briefs and lead cross-functional collaboration to develop, iterate, and test new direct mail creative. Partner with Creative/Content teams and external agencies to ensure messaging accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Project & Budget Management: Oversee complex, multi-workstream campaign operations with meticulous attention to detail and clear communication across stakeholders. Manage the direct mail budget, ensuring efficient allocation and high ROI.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in growth, performance, or analytics-focused marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience managing large-scale prescreen direct mail programs (3M+ mail pieces per month), ideally within consumer lending, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven success owning growth initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes while managing significant marketing budgets.
  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to independently interrogate complex datasets, validate analyses (whether self-generated or produced by analysts or AI), and translate findings into strategic business decisions.
  • Experience partnering closely with Data Science, Analytics, and AI teams to develop targeting, scoring, forecasting, and experimentation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and lead end-to-end testing and experimentation roadmaps that drive continuous optimization and business growth.
  • Experience operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, building scalable processes and operational frameworks where they do not yet exist.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to identify key business questions, prioritize opportunities, and influence decisions through data-driven recommendations.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple external partners and vendors (including print, data, and agency partners) while maintaining exceptional quality, accuracy, and execution.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Benefits

  • Generous health benefits: We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with options for flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA).
  • Unlimited paid time off: Recharge with unlimited paid time off and 10 company holidays.
  • Flexible remote and onsite work: Our teams work from many different locations and time zones. We support fully remote work and also have an amazing in-person environment in our downtown Palo Alto, CA HQ.
  • Fully paid parental leave: Point will supplement state Paid Family Leave (PFL) so employees receive 100% of their regular base pay, plus two additional weeks of fully paid leave after state PFL ends. In states without PFL, Point offers up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave. In addition, employees also receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time, during which you may work 2–3 days per week while receiving full base pay.
  • Equity: We offer meaningful equity because we believe in sharing the value you help create. Your contributions directly impact our growth, and your equity gives you a stake in our future success.
  • Financial wellness: We provide 401K retirement plans for employees as well as guaranteed life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Extra work/life benefits: We provide monthly stipends for internet, mobile plans, wellness perks, a one-time home office reimbursement, and company provided equipment including a MacBook and monitor.
