Owns strategic external communications and media relations programs, shaping SOLV Energy's story across press, thought leadership, and digital channels while coordinating cross-functional content efforts.
- Leads media relations, content development, and digital communications to raise SOLV Energy’s visibility.
- Works with internal experts and project teams to identify and tell emerging stories and opportunities.
- Sponsors executive visibility and long-term reputation-building through research, messaging, and event communications.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Media Relations & External Communications
- Draft and coordinate external communications materials, including press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points, and briefing documents.
- Support media outreach efforts, interview preparation, and relationship-building with industry media and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities to increase visibility for SOLV Energy, its projects, and its leaders.
- Storytelling & Content Development
- Proactively identify, develop, and create content that highlights SOLV Energy's people, projects, innovations, partnerships, and industry expertise.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal subject matter experts, project teams, and business leaders to identify emerging stories, innovations, and communications opportunities.
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information and develop compelling communications content.
- Develop a variety of content, including thought leadership articles, project spotlights, and LinkedIn content.
- Translate technical information into clear, compelling content for external audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong interviewing, research, and information-gathering capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across an organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
