The Tennessee Department of HumanServices offers an extensive range of socialservices to a diverse group of almost twomillion Tennesseans across 95 rural andurban counties in our state. Our broad rangeof customers includes members of the blind,visual impaired, deaf and hard of hearingcommunities who attend our rehabilitationcenters as well as custodial and non-custodialparents who participate in the child supportprogram. Other customers include childcare providers who may apply for licensuresthrough TDHS. Still other customers includefamilies living below the poverty line whomay need assistance in obtaining nutritionor career development resources in order tomove beyond their current circumstances.We serve these groups and more; howeverour goal is always the same: build strongfamilies by connecting Tennesseans toemployment, education and support serviceswith a whole family approach.
