St Swithun's School

Founded in 1884, St Swithun’s is an independent day and boarding school for girls set in an attractive 45 acre campus overlooking the Hampshire Downs, yet only an hour from London by train. The senior school offers day, weekly boarding and full boarding options for girls aged 11-18 whilst the St Swithun's Prep has a day offering for girls aged 4-11, and co-ed preschool.St Swithun’s was founded in 1884 with the aim of providing a ‘sound and thorough’ education for girls: a simple aim to which we have subscribed ever since. It embraces not only academic excellence, but also intellectual curiosity, courage, perseverance, compassion, humility, respect and a sense of fun. It has a long-standing reputation for academic rigour but we pride ourselves that this is only part of what the school offers, as we celebrate every one of our students’ endeavours throughout their time with us.
