Sheffield Students' Union

Sheffield Students' Union exists to provide support, representation, facilities, services, entertainment and activities to students studying at the University of Sheffield.We’ve been rated the best Students’ Union in the UK in various HE awards for over 12 years running, most recently in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2022, Student Crowd University Awards 2022 and National Societies & Volunteering Awards 2022. We’re an organisation run for students, by students. We have 13 Students’ Union Officers annually elected by the study body to direct the SU and represent its students. The Students’ Union offers the opportunity for students to get involved and make their issues heard - a collective voice of over 30,000 people.We employ approximately 700 staff in a variety of roles. The Students' Union boasts a fantastic, modern building featuring cafes, shops, bars, an advice centre and an activities & sports zone where students can join over 300 sports clubs and societies. Inside, every evening has something different on offer; from club nights to film screenings, live music, theatrical performances and talks.
