Mothers Outreach Network

Founded ten years ago, Mothers Outreach Network, is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization that engages in empowerment work in support of District of Columbia mothers subject to criminal legal or foster care entanglement while fighting for the economic stability of their families. Devoted to the ideal of participatory American democracy, Mothers Outreach Network uses the following tools to achieve its mission:· civic engagement· know your rights training· voter outreach · research· advocacyWe are currently expanding our movement lawyering focus to include brief advice legal clinics to support the individual and collective efforts of these moms in increasing their power in effecting systemic change at the local Washington, DC and national levels.
