Company Overview

The LGBTQ Religious Archives Network is a resource center that supports the preservation of the history and the scholarly study of LGBTQ+ religious leaders and movements around the world. LGBTQ-RAN helps LGBTQ+ faith leaders and groups determine how best to preserve their records and papers in appropriate repositories. We also provide an online clearinghouse for these archival collections and other historical information for use by historians, researchers and other interested people. Finally, we host programs and discussions that shine a light on this often underappreciated history and connect it to the realities faced by LGBTQ+ people today. Recognizing that history is written from the perspective of those who preserve their records, LGBTQ-RAN's overarching purpose is to ensure the preservation and accessibility of the voices and experiences of the great diversity of LGBTQ+ religious leaders and groups.
