Kyrene School District is one of Arizona’s leading public school districts, providing excellence in education for more than 130 years. Kyrene is known for high academic achievement, with schools consistently outperforming peer districts, charter schools, and state averages on AzMERIT and other academic benchmarks. Kyrene is comprised of 26 schools (18 elementary, 6 middle, one K-8 and Kyrene Digital Academy). District boundaries encompass all of Ahwatukee and parts of Chandler, Guadalupe, Tempe, and the Gila River Indian Reservation. Kyrene enrolls approximately 16,500 students in grades K-8 and offers preschool options on every single elementary school campus.K-8 program offerings include world languages (Spanish and Mandarin), STEM, college prep, fine arts, performing arts, and computer science immersion. Kyrene is also home to a Traditional Academy and an IB World School. Preschool options include dual-language, leadership, and arts integration programs, as well as project-based and self-directed learning programs. Integrated preschool options serve students with developmental needs and are taught by certified staff.
