The Institute for American Leadership is a nonprofit think tank committed to restoring and strengthening America's role in the world through rigorous research about strategic investments in soft power. The Institute trains congressional staff, cultivates campus chapters, and develops educational programs that demonstrate how diplomacy, development, and global partnerships safeguard U.S. security and prosperity. Our flagship National Security Policy Fellowship is a 9-month program for congressional staff combining seminars, workshops, and a capstone policy analysis project to prepare fellows to defend foreign assistance and shape policy that advances America's strategic interests.The Institute also invests in the next generation by building university chapters that equip students with policy literacy, research skills, and pathways into public service. Through fellowships, chapters, and convenings, the Institute creates a community of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers committed to advancing nonpartisan, evidence-based solutions.
