Healthcare Anchor Network

The Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN) is a nationally recognized collaboration of more than 65+ health systems leveraging their institutional assets more intentionally to improve health and well-being by addressing economic and racial inequities in the communities they serve.HAN works to achieve a critical mass of health systems adopting the anchor mission, a proactive commitment to leverage their economic, political, and human capital in partnership with community to drive equitable, local economic impact. Through defining the healthcare leadership standard, promoting industry collaboration, incubating and scaling anchor strategies, and leading innovations in implementation, HAN strives to build a healthcare and anchor institution movement focused on addressing economic and racial inequities in community conditions that create poor health.
