Job Summary

Own and execute the organization’s multichannel marketing program across social, email, and website, align content with major events, and produce metrics and recommendations for the CEO.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Channel Management: Oversee day-to-day content for Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, email marketing, and website updates.
  • Strategy & Insights: Review current engagement and develop a 12-month rolling content calendar aligned with major events (e.g., Oxonmoot, Westmoot, Sarehole Festival and Tolkien Reading Day).
  • Analytics: Establish and maintain performance metrics for all channels to report success and recommendations to the CEO.
  • Brand Implementation: Support the rollout of our new visual identity consistently across all member touchpoints.
  • Paid Media: Manage paid social activity including Google AdWords and Meta to boost membership and public event awareness.
  • Volunteer Collaboration: Build positive relationships with key volunteers, including our internal Designer and Discord moderators.

Requirements

  • Self-starter who can hit the ground running.
  • Marketing pedigree and communication skills are what matter most.
  • Deep expertise in Tolkien’s lore is not essential.

  • Deep expertise in Tolkien’s lore is a wonderful bonus, but it is not essential.
