Job Summary

Lead a social and video storytelling program for a disability-focused nonprofit, owning strategy, governance, content creation, on-site storytelling, and cross-team production to move awareness, engagement, and advocacy.

Own strategy development across social and video to advance mission goals and fundraising.
Coordinate editorial planning, on-site content capture, and cross-channel production with internal teams and vendors.
Set governance, accessibility standards, and performance metrics to turn data into iterative improvements.

Job Description

Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and video storytelling strategy aligned with AHRC NYCs mission, brand, and communications goals.
Set the vision for how social platforms and video content can drive awareness, engagement, advocacy, and fundraising.
Establish standards, governance, and best practices across AHRC NYCs network of social media accounts.
Content & Storytelling Lead the creation of compelling, inclusive, and mission-driven content, with a strong emphasis on video storytelling.
Identify and elevate authentic stories from the AHRC NYC community, ensuring dignity, respect, and impact.
Capture content on-site at AHRC NYC locations, including video, interviews, and photography.
Oversee editorial planning, content calendars, and multimedia production.
Video Strategy & Production Direct short- and long-form video initiatives across platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to produce high-quality video content.
Ensure video storytelling reflects best practices in accessibility and engagement.
