Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist role partners closely with our Energy & Technical Services teams. Energy & Technical Services help clients solve some of their most complex facility and infrastructure challenges. From energy performance contracting and decarbonization planning to facility condition assessments, commissioning, renewable energy, building optimization, and capital planning, we develop integrated solutions that deliver measurable results.
You’ll play a key role in developing client-focused proposals and coordinating pursuit efforts that help win new business. Working alongside technical and sales teams, you'll help translate complex technical offerings into clear, compelling client value.
Additional responsibilities include:
Managing the RFQ/RFP proposal process by establishing priorities, coordinating assignments, facilitating meetings, and managing deadlines.
Reading and analyzing client RFQ/RFPs and editing proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity, and compliance with requirements.
Performing all aspects of proposal production, including messaging, graphic layout, and final submission.
Researching, writing, and developing narratives, project descriptions, resumes, and other proposal materials.
Developing and updating sales collateral, presentations, qualifications packages, and other marketing materials to support business development efforts.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project records, resumes, and marketing content within established systems and libraries to support future pursuits and sales activities.
Collaborating with technical and sales teams and subject matter experts to develop compelling, client-focused content that effectively communicates McKinstry's brand, message, and service offerings.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
3+ years’ experience in marketing with engineering & design or construction (AEC) industry preferred.
Proficient with Adobe InDesign and Acrobat preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint preferred.
Cosential and/or Salesforce experience preferred.
Strong project management abilities and organizational skills required.
Strong client management abilities required.
Must be deadline-driven.

Preferred

Familiarity with AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot and Claude, to support marketing workflows and improve efficiency is considered a plus.
