Job Description
Responsibilities
- Pitch and secure broadcast opportunities for DLPR clients across top financial media outlets, including CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business and leading investing and business podcasts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with anchors, reporters, producers and podcast hosts across the financial media landscape.
- Monitor breaking market news, economic data, earnings and macro trends to proactively identify timely media opportunities, conferences and segment ideas for clients.
- Prepare executives, portfolio managers, and strategists for television and podcast appearances through messaging, positioning and coaching.
- Represent broadcast on client account calls and internal strategy discussions, integrating media opportunities into broader communications campaigns.
- Support DLPR’s broadcast team while expanding the firm’s reach across regional markets, affiliates, emerging platforms and market research.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in broadcast journalism, television producing, booking, media relations or financial communications.
- Strong contacts, news judgment and a deep understanding of financial and business media.
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical communication skills.
- Proven ability to proactively build and maintain media relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a multitasker capable of managing multiple priorities, clients and deadlines.
