Job Description
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the overall U.S. regional marketing strategy and operating model, ensuring alignment with corporate, brand, launch, and commercial objectives.
- Establish strategic priorities, objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for the regional marketing organization and ensure consistent execution across regions.
- Provide strategic oversight of regional customer engagement initiatives, ensuring resources and activities are appropriately prioritized against the highest-value opportunities.
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor to Commercial leadership on regional market opportunities, customer dynamics, competitive intelligence, and implications for brand and commercial strategy.
- Partner with Marketing leadership to ensure regional insights meaningfully influence brand strategy, positioning, segmentation, customer engagement, and launch planning.
- Build, recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Regional Marketing Directors aligned to the Company's evolving commercial and geographic needs.
- Establish the organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, capabilities, and performance expectations necessary to support a high-performing regional marketing organization.
- Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development to Regional Marketing Directors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Establish and maintain consistent regional marketing standards, operating processes, and governance across the team while allowing appropriate flexibility based on market-specific needs.
- Establish the strategic framework for engagement with National and Regional Thought Leaders, including segmentation, prioritization, engagement planning, and cross-functional coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare marketing, with demonstrated experience supporting commercial products and/or launches.
- Demonstrated leadership experience building, recruiting, developing, and managing high-performing marketing teams, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading regional marketing strategy and organizational capabilities within the U.S. pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Oncology experience is required, with experience supporting the commercialization and/or launch of oncology products strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate national brand strategy into differentiated regional strategies and customer engagement approaches.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, including payer dynamics, treatment pathways, healthcare delivery systems, and the evolving oncology marketplace.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with National and Regional Thought Leaders, key healthcare stakeholders, and other priority customers.
- Experience providing strategic oversight of commercial advisory boards, speaker programs, congress strategy and execution, and other customer engagement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex customer, market, and competitive insights and translate them into actionable strategic recommendations.
