Job Summary

You will own the university's digital content workflow by supporting messaging, multimedia production, and storytelling across official channels, while coordinating reviews and stakeholder input.

  • Support social media messaging and engagement across university platforms.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to create copy, photos, video, and graphics.
  • Track performance with University Relations and adjust content with input from stakeholders.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Digital Content Specialist with messaging and engagement on all official Newman University social media platforms.
  • Assist the Senior Graphic Designer with creative design projects.
  • Research and create copy, photos, video, graphics for university content and storytelling consistent with the overall university marketing plan.
  • Consistently review performance of work with the appropriate University Relations staff member and the Director of University Relations.
  • Work with internal and external constituents as needed

Requirements

  • Current full-time Newman University student pursing a degree in communications, journalism, English or related field.
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Must demonstrate strong clear concise writing and public speaking skills.
  • Must be team-oriented, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to create engaging content and/or perform basic design and/or photography and/or videography.
  • Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Complete University-required trainings.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
