Job Summary

Drive LRWRA outreach by producing social content and coordinating community events for engagement.

  • Own social content creation and community outreach support for LRWRA.
  • Must-have: junior, senior, or recent graduate in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related field.
  • Standout: proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and basic photography/videography.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Communications Department in our internal communication and public outreach efforts.
  • Assists in developing engaging and informative content for LRWRA’s social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and photos.
  • Participates in community outreach events and assists in preparing materials for these events.
  • Captures high-quality photos and videos of LRWRA facilities, events, and operations for use in various communications materials.
  • Develop engaging content for LRWRA’s social media platforms
  • Schedule content, engage with our audience, and monitor social media performance
  • Create visual content using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and PosterMyWall
  • Takes high-quality photos and videos of LRWRA activities
  • Assists in community outreach and related communication
  • Supports and documents public education programs

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or recent graduate with a major in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related discipline
  • Experience managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X)
  • Knowledge of graphic design software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Canva, and PosterMyWall
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Words, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic photography and videography
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work well in both team settings and independently
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Meet and maintain attendance requirements

Preferred

  • Knowledge of social media analytics and content scheduling platforms (Buffer, Hootsuite, Facebook Ad Manager, etc.)
  • Customer service skills

The collection and treatment services protect both public health and the environment.LRWRA is responsible for inspecting and maintaining approximately 1,400 miles of sewer; 32,000 manholes; and serves a population of approximately 200,000.LRWRA is overseen jointly by the Chief Executive Officer and the Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission, which is comprised of seven members. These citizens are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors.
