Job Description

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction to clients and team
Responsible for client satisfaction and meeting/exceeding deliverable goals
Maintain client relationships through meetings, in-person travel/events, conference calls, general contact, meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.
Oversee account work for 3-4 team members (ranging from account coordinators to senior account executive), providing training, coaching, editing, mentoring and overall sound leadership
Provide strategic, strong and consistent media results and measurement
Support crisis communications, as needed
Identify stories and pitches; edit and write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, etc.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers
Provide ideation and campaigns; participate in brainstorms
Recommend, source and implement strategic events and partnerships

Requirements

Six to seven years work experience in travel/lifestyle PR; destination PR experience and agency experience is preferred
Minimum one year in a supervisory capacity managing at least 2 junior team members
Proficiency/fluency in Spanish a plus
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment
You’re a self-starter with a proven ability to lead a team and work well independently
You have experience resolving client issues quickly and efficiently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding team player with a positive attitude
Experience launching campaigns with non-client partners
You have a solid portfolio of secured media coverage (national, magazine, newspaper, TV and digital wins)

Preferred

Proficiency/fluency in Spanish a plus
Proven experience handling crisis a plus
