Job Summary

Own site level program delivery and participant experience with clear ownership of instruction, site operations, and safety, plus community-facing marketing and partner communication.

Program delivery ownership: ensure curriculum execution and ongoing instruction at multiple sites.
Site operations and safety: manage equipment setup, checks, and attendance logistics.
Community and partnerships: handle marketing tasks, parent/partner communication, and represent USTA PNW changes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
Implement program curriculum and provide on-going instruction and expertise at program sites.
Ensure equipment set-up and take down for each session. Ensure that all equipment is in safe condition to use. Storing or the transport of equipment may be necessary depending on location working. Site Director may be asked to transport equipment in their personal vehicles if there is no secure on-site location for storage at the site.
Check attendance roll for each session and check-out with parent sign-off for conclusion of each session.
Stay at site until all participants have been picked up by authorized personnel.
Perform marketing tasks as needed which include, but are not limited to; hanging flyers, working at marketing events, etc.
Programs occur at outdoor and indoor sites/facilities and may include extreme weather conditions (heavy rainfall, high temperatures and sun exposure, etc.).
Performing other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.
Represent and support USTA PNW facilities and NetGeneration products and services to further PNW mission and initiatives.

Requirements

Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
Instructors can be an employee of any age over 14 generally. To act as a Site Director the employee must be 18+ years of age.
Experience working with children and adults in a teaching setting is preferred.
Dependability, communication skills, and an excellent work ethic.
Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
Desire to work with children and act as a positive role model.
Ability to lead and direct participants activities and transitions.
Desire, passion, and ability to promote and grow the game of tennis.
Ability and comfort of collaborating and taking direction.
Must have the ability to pass a background check.
Ability to make quick decisions that best serve participants.

Preferred

Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
Experience working with children and adults in a teaching setting is preferred.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rates outlined in seasonally signed Offer Letter.
Position currently ineligible for benefits as outlined in the annually signed Employee Handbook.
Eligible for SICK benefits as defined by state requirements. SICK hours accrued can be located in the individual employee’s ADP WorkForce Now profile.
