Job Description

Responsibilities

Plans and implements public relations, communications, and/or marketing programs, activities, initiatives, and events; designs, edits, and develops print, digital, social media, website, and other materials; oversees and/or designs graphics and layouts.
As assigned, takes photographs and maintains photo files; reviews content and materials prepared by other staff; develops proposals as assigned; and ensures compliance with quality, brand and design standards.
Collaborates with community groups, business associations, residents, the media, City departments, and/or external agencies; attends meetings and public functions; responds to media requests; establishes and maintains partnerships; responds to in-person, telephonic, or email inquiries; conducts training; and develops presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in business or public administration, communications, or directly related field.
One year of professional communications, web and graphic design, media relations, public information, or video production experience.

Preferred

Three (3) to five (5) years of professional communications, web and graphic design, or public information experience preferred.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving, and skills.
Experience using data and feedback to evaluate program success and improvement areas.
