Job Description
Responsibilities
- Support OCTA’s community outreach efforts by representing the agency at events and assisting with related promotional activities.
- Provide general event and program support, including preparation of materials and post-activity documentation.
- Help maintain marketing resources and materials to ensure readiness for public engagement activities.
- Assist with updating and maintaining content on OCTA’s website and supports digital campaigns.
- Research and analyze marketing initiatives to help evaluate performance and provide recommendations.
- Contribute ideas for marketing content and assists with creative production projects.
- Provide occasional support for social media and other promotional efforts as needed.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time college student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) at an accredited two- or four-year college or university
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and creativity.
- Experience or interest in community outreach, event coordination, or public engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred.
- Familiarity with website content updates, social media platforms, or digital marketing concepts is a plus.
- Ability to research and analyze marketing initiatives and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
