Job Summary

Own end-to-end marketing programs supporting acquisition and client/product communications, with AI-first workflows across campaign logistics, story distribution, and lifecycle programs.

  • Focus areas: Acquisition campaigns and client/story communications.
  • Primary workstreams: program execution, AI-enabled content ops, and enablement assets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Programs Specialist is the operational engine behind two pillars—new business acquisition and client/product communications—and works as an AI-first marketer who uses AI as the default way to get things done.
  • Reports to CMO, and supports Demand Gen and Product Marketing. Strategy stays with the functional leads; this role will support program execution.
  • Pillar 1 — Acquisition (with Demand Gen): ad campaigns, prospect events and webinars, acquisition nurtures.
  • Pillar 2 — Client & Product Comms (with Product Marketing): client story activation, developer release communications, and lifecycle/customer communications.
  • Demand Gen: an execution partner to take campaign and event logistics off your plate so you can focus on strategy and channel performance.
  • Product Marketing: someone to operationalize and distribute your client stories, product/release comms, and lifecycle programs—turning your narrative into shipped, multi-channel output.
  • Sales: more consistent enablement assets and customer stories reaching you, faster.
  • Client Success & Enablement: a reliable channel to get customer wins and release notes packaged and out the door to the right audiences.
  • What it's deliberately not: a strategy role, a people-management role, or a partnership-design role.
  • To keep it effective, tasks should be part of systematic and recurring programs, not one-off requests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a B2B marketing role, ideally in SaaS or technology.
  • AI-fluent in practice, not just in theory; you use AI tools consistently in your day-to-day workflow to accelerate content, reporting, or campaign efficiency.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation (HubSpot or similar)
  • CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Events (Zoom or other webinar platforms)
  • AI Tools (Claude)

Preferred

  • Marketing Automation (HubSpot or similar)
  • CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Events (Zoom or other webinar platforms)
  • AI Tools (Claude)

Benefits

  • All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location.
