Job Summary
Own the pacing and emotional arc of trailers and promos, coordinating with creative leads to deliver film marketing content across broadcast, digital, and social while managing multi-version edits and delivery workflows.
- Storytelling & pacing: craft emotionally resonant cuts using music, dialogue, sound design, and visual composition.
- Project ownership: supervise ingest through final delivery, maintain media organization, and adapt edits for multiple platforms under tight deadlines.
- Collaboration & delivery: partner with Creative Directors, Producers, and studios to respond to feedback and ensure platform-specific specs.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Edit high-impact entertainment marketing content including trailers, TV spots, teasers, promos, social cutdowns, and digital campaigns
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, Producers, Copywriters, Motion Graphics Artists, and Audio teams to develop innovative AV concepts
- Craft emotionally engaging storytelling through pacing, music, dialogue, sound design, and visual composition
- Manage projects from ingest through final delivery, ensuring technical accuracy and creative excellence
- Execute multiple versions and platform adaptations for broadcast, digital, and social media distribution
- Incorporate graphics, temp VFX, sound design, and mix elements into edits as needed
- Respond quickly and effectively to creative feedback and studio/client notes
- Maintain organized project files, media management, and delivery workflows
- Stay current on entertainment trends, social content styles, platform specifications, and emerging editing technologies
- Work collaboratively in a deadline-driven, high-volume creative environment
- 3–7+ years of AV editing experience within entertainment advertising, trailer houses, agencies, streaming platforms, or studios
- Strong portfolio/reel showcasing trailers, TV spots, social campaigns, and entertainment marketing work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Avid Media Composer, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or other post-production tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, music editing, sound design, and emotional beats
- Knowledge of broadcast, digital, and social delivery specifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for entertainment, pop culture, film, television, and gaming marketing
- Experience cutting theatrical trailers, streaming promos, or TV spots
- Strong sense of social-first editing and short-form content strategy
- Familiarity with finishing workflows, color pipelines, and audio mix processes
- Motion graphics or compositing experience is a plus
- Experience working directly with studios, networks, or streaming clients
