Job Summary

Own and coordinate district communications and community engagement across offices and agencies, balancing public information, constituent services, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Constituent-focused messaging and liaison work with county, state, and federal partners to serve district needs.
  • Manage events, newsletters, and press materials to keep constituents informed and engaged.
  • Oversee stakeholder meetings and county initiatives, providing reporting and cross-agency coordination.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce weekly events newsletter in coordination with District office staff.
  • Manage and grow social media channels, including publishing prepared content on some weekends and evenings.
  • Provide constituent services on various issues and serve as the liaison to county departments and state/federal agencies.
  • Attend virtual and in-person stakeholder meetings and participate in community engagement events.
  • Monitor projects and collaborate with County agencies on District initiatives.
  • Assist with drafting of press releases, talking points, and board matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, political science, constituent services, event production, or similar line of work.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as required.
  • The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

Preferred

  • Experience working in political settings.
  • Experience utilizing Graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva and Newsletter software such as Constant Contact, GovDelivery, Mailchimp.
