Job Summary

You will own end-to-end multimedia and communications workstreams, including producing and moderating video and podcast segments, creating social and graphic content, and coordinating outreach at events.

  • Own videography for weekly podcast, radio, and TV segments
  • Develop and produce social media content and public communications
  • Attend events to capture content and support outreach

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Writes, produces, moderates, records, and, or, does videography for weekly podcast, radio, and TV segments.
  • Develops and submits social media content, including reels, graphics, videos, and written content, to enhance public engagement and promote agency initiatives.
  • Designs and produces graphic and illustrative materials for brochures, public service announcements, public safety campaigns, and other agency communications.
  • Writes, edits, and distributes internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, scripts, social media content, and video productions to support and promote agency programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Attends public events to capture photographs and video content for use in public outreach, community engagement, and agency storytelling efforts.
  • Assists staff and other branches with special projects.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in journalism, public relations, or experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this job title series.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Preferred

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Videography, photography, and, or, audio production knowledge
  • Digital, web-based, and social media skills
  • Marketing and communications abilities.
