Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: develop and execute media strategy for UBS's Wealth Management Americas, Investment Bank and Asset Management businesses in the US, Canada and Latin America
• Oversee social media strategy and planning for UBS’s Americas social channels
• Build and foster strong relationships with members of the financial and industry trade press
• Counsel members of the Firm's Americas senior leadership team on messaging, reputational risk, issues and crisis media management
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in internal communications, investor relations, executive communications, community affairs, branding and business marketing to ensure consistency of messages to the Firm's external audiences
• Manage a high performing media relations and social media team and direct external agency resources

Requirements

• Ideally 10+ years' experience in a communications role within a financial services firm, preferably with increasing levels of responsibility or complexity and with a very strong media relations component
• Proven ability to take initiatives, handle multiple projects simultaneously and have a critical eye for detail to ensure multiple deadlines are met
• Experience with crisis and issues management
• Knowledge of financial statements/reporting or investor relations is a plus
• Four-year university degree required
