About Flint Firebirds
The Flint Firebirds are a proud member of the Ontario Hockey League and the Canadian Hockey League. The CHL incorporates the Ontario Hockey League, the Western Hockey League, and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. It represents the premiere player development league in the world. Nearly 70% of all active NHL contracted players have graduated from the Canadian Hockey League.The Flint Firebirds play at the newly renovated Dort Financial Event Center in Flint, Michigan. The facility was built in 1969 and was formerly known as The IMA and Perani Arena. The main arena seats 3,900 for hockey and 5,000 for concerts.
